Testimonials

Chris and Jen Du Plessis

Styles and Virtue did an exceptional job on the complete rebuild of our home — a highly complex project that required extensive structural work, problem-solving and an incredible level of detail throughout. The quality of the build was outstanding, with no corners cut and a genuine focus on getting everything right. Their workmanship, communication and attention to detail were first class from start to finish.

They also completely refitted our butchery shop out the front, which went on to win Randwick Small Business of the Year — a reflection of the quality and standard of their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick and Verity to anyone looking for a premium builder who takes enormous pride in delivering an exceptional result

I engaged Styles and Virtue to create something out of our empty living room 'niche'. I wanted a built-in feature that could be used as seating but also as display space, and which would give maximum impact in a limited area.

Verity understood intuitively what I was looking for and came back with some fantastic drawings which really answered the brief. The design we chose had the 'wow' I wanted. Verity took care of everything and made the entire process completely painless; in fact, it was fun collaborating with her. The tradesmen she brought in were all courteous, professional and good at their respective jobs. My project was finished very quickly and within budget.

I was thrilled with the end result. To me our new, improved living room represents the perfect blend of creativity and practicality, and I think that is a reflection of its designer Verity, whose impeccable style and vision never come at the expense of pragmatic constraints. With this one smallish project, Styles and Virtue have added considerable value and beauty to our home. I'd happily recommend them to anyone.

Kellie and Adam - 2020 - Centennial Park

Styles and Virtue recently completed a renovation of our Federation home, which included a new kitchen and butler’s pantry, living area, powder-room and outdoor entertaining area including a fireplace. They also built a brand new three-car garage with a self-contained studio apartment on top.

We are thrilled with the quality. The stages of construction were completed on time and within expected budget. Nick is patient and a great communicator. Verity provided great guidance on the interiors and stying – respectful of our budget and the practicalities of creating a home that is liveable while still being stylish.

We lived through the renovation but there was very little stress due to the fact that Nick and his team had predictable timelines, great communication and were respectful of our home and of our neighbours.

We would recommend Styles and Virtue to our friends and family and hope we’ll be able to bring them back in the future for “stage 3”!

Styles and Virtue delivered a great result. We couldn’t be happier. From a technical perspective the build was exceptional and errors from previous renovations were completely rectified. The team worked collaboratively and efficiently with us, delivering on time and with excellent interior options. Verity is very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to ensure we not only love the finished product but everything fits our lifestyle.

Costs were approved in advance and despite our family living overseas the whole experience was seamless and worry free. One of the most pleasing elements of our renovation was the attention to detail.

We would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them in the future.

Nick and Verity helped us with a time sensitive renovation of an external home office. They were extremely professional to work with and we are delighted with the results. Nick managed the build, his team and the various sub-contractors to perfection. Everything was done well, on time and on budget. Where variations did occur, either through change of mind or other circumstances (such as unforeseen drainage issues), Nick diligently worked through the various options providing us with an explanation for each and making a recommendation for the best course of action. Nick and Verity over delivered in every sense and we would not hesitate to recommend their work or work with them again.

"Mr Nick Styles was recommended to us when we decided to carry out major renovations at a Rose Bay apartment. The work involved a new kitchen and relocation of a bathroom as well as new electrical work. The job was completed on time and to our entire satisfaction.

A short time later we invited Nick to renovate an apartment at Edgecliff which was to become our new home. The work was more comprehensive than Rose Bay and involved a new kitchen, two new bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, new electrical wiring, carpet laying and painting. Once again the job was completed on time and to our entire satisfaction.

We found Nick's sub-contractors to be competent, reliable and pleasant to deal with.

Finally a number of residents in our Edgecliff building volunteered their comments that Nick and his team were considerate of others in the building when using the lift, removing rubble and using electric drills.

It is a pleasure to recommend his services."

"I would highly recommend Styles and Virtue Builders. The project to renovate my bathroom was done on time, within budget and with great workmanship. I found Nick to be very professional and pleasant. He also offered great design choices which I implemented.

I will also note that all the work was done while i was living outside of the country so it was great to have someone I could trust to deliver and was effective at communicating the progress and ask questions prior to proceeding with work."

Over the past few years I have worked with Styles and Virtue on two home renovation projects – one a modern "knock down rebuild" and the other, a terrace house.

Nick has taken a genuine interest in the projects and has provided insights on the finer details of construction which led to the "wow" factor. He has a great team of tradies who are polite and who are quality craftsmen.

Styles and Virtue that if there is an issue, it will be discussed and if there is a better way of Nick will raise it and that he will recommend a better option if there is one.

The renovations have been seamless and the

Styles and Virtue are more than just builders – they are partners.

Claire & Kris, Lilyfield

This was our first ever renovation project, so we needed a builder who knew their stuff and could give us a 'warts and all' appraisal of our proposed project. Nick was worth his weight in gold. From the beginning, his easy nature put us at ease, and he advised us on all potential contingencies up front, associated costs and likely time frame. Upon discussing our plans he also suggested a solution which would enable us to maximise the size of our small bathroom, and save money on plumbing, which really was a stroke of genius. At all times, he was sensitive to our budget constraints, and considered ways in which we could save money, while not compromising on the quality of the finished product. To top off a seamless renovation, the project was completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule, and the property was delivered to us in pristine condition.
